In 2022, I asked for your trust and made a commitment to build a brighter future for San Gabriel. You gave me that opportunity, and I have never taken that trust for granted.
Today, I am asking for your trust once again, not simply to continue what we started, but to build upon it and prepare San Gabriel for the opportunities and challenges ahead. San Gabriel has been my home for 26 years. I have watched this city change. I have raised my family here. I have served this community for many years, and serving as your Councilmember and Mayor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. When I ran in 2022, I asked you to believe that together we could build a brighter future for San Gabriel. Today, that promise has a record behind it: stronger finances, better streets, modernized infrastructure, investments in public safety, new community traditions, greater recognition for our veterans, stronger cultural connections, and a growing presence for San Gabriel beyond our borders. But I am not running for re-election to celebrate what has already been done. I am running because there is more to do. Because a stronger financial position must be protected. Because safer neighborhoods require constant commitment. Because infrastructure must continue to improve. Because our businesses need a City that believes in their success. Because our history must be preserved even as we embrace the future. And because I believe San Gabriel’s best years are still ahead of us. The foundation is stronger. The direction is clear. And I am ready to continue the work. In 2022, I asked for your trust to begin this journey. In 2026, I respectfully ask for your trust once again to continue it. Not simply for the next four years. Not simply for 2028. But for the San Gabriel we will leave to the generations that follow us.We have made real progress. But progress is not a reason to slow down. It is a responsibility to keep moving forward.
